Session Conflict Handling & Progression Reconciliation Updates

🧱 Tapzi Dev Release #042 – Week of June 19, 2026
Session Conflict Handling & Progression Reconciliation Updates

Purpose
To continue improving player session consistency, reduce progression mismatches across match history and achievement records, and strengthen backend validation for reconnect-heavy gameplay scenarios.

Key Highlights

🏅 Tournament & Fair-Play Achievement Validation
Validation rules updated for selected tournament and fair-play achievement triggers.
Achievement processing now waits for stronger match confirmation signals before updating progression state.
Tournament-related achievement categories remain limited to internal validation while edge-case behavior is reviewed.

📊 Progression Reconciliation Enhancements
Expanded reconciliation checks between match history, aggregated stats, and achievement status.
Mismatch logs now include clearer source tagging to identify whether the issue originated from match history, stats aggregation, or achievement processing.
Improved handling of delayed match records arriving after dashboard refresh events.

⚙️ Queue Retry Reduction Updates
Queue retry logic adjusted for reconnect-heavy sessions to reduce unnecessary duplicate processing.
Retry events now include additional context markers for timeout, reconnect, and delayed settlement flows.
Internal monitoring now separates recoverable delays from repeated processing failures more clearly.

Why It Matters
Improved session conflict handling helps protect confirmed player progress when users switch devices or reconnect during active gameplay.
Stronger achievement validation reduces incorrect progression updates and improves confidence in tournament and fair-play recognition.
Better reconciliation visibility allows the team to debug backend inconsistencies faster without introducing large architectural changes.

Open Issues
Dashboard refresh delays still occur when users rapidly switch between devices after match completion.
Tournament achievement processing can still lag when final match confirmation is delayed.
Some reconnect-heavy flows continue to generate extra queue events under unstable network conditions.
Historical progression mismatches still require limited manual verification.

Fixed
Reduced cases where stale session data overwrote recently confirmed player stats.
Improved validation order for tournament-related achievement checks.
Mismatch logs now show clearer event source and timestamp details.
Reduced duplicate retry events during reconnect-based match recovery.

Next Steps
Continue refining session conflict handling for multi-device users.
Expand automated reconciliation coverage for older progression records.
Further reduce queue retry noise during reconnect and timeout flows.
Continue internal validation of tournament and fair-play achievement categories before broader rollout.

Development Status:
Development remains focused on reliability, progression accuracy, and backend consistency across active sessions, reconnect flows, and achievement validation systems.
